2007 was really beyond my expectations. This is my most successful year in 
terms of career as a student, a marketer, a more competitive individual. This year unleashed me on what more can I offer. I’m now more experimental, risky and smarter than I could ever imagine! Truly made me the 2007 Fastest Rising Marketing Star!

January: When I accidentally inlove, torn between two lovers and fall out of love
February: Falling out of love led me fall out and voluntarily drop my major Financial Accounting, the best part of this ‘LOVE’ is that it made me open more to persevere my undiscovered ‘PR’
March: My defense based subjects entered finals (TQM) and did very well (Tamaraw Idol and Bus7, Macroeconomics) opens a better horizon to shift to Marketing Management
April: My last sem in Internal Auditing was my highest GWA 1.76/1.00:
My closest friends and strengthen relationship with the FEU Accounting community is the risk that harden my decision to shift because I’m afraid to start from the scratch in Marketing. But still I took the risk and followed my heart and to finally settle to become a FEUture marketer
May: Good remarks from my Marketing and Management I professors made me realise to believe what a marketer can do better than those ‘accountants’. 1.00/1.00 each in the said 2 subjects and I ended the summer very well!
June: 5/8 of my subjects on my first sem as a marketer.
- At first, I felt marketing really easier than accounting. I’ve got most of the recitations 1st meeting pa lang!
- I also saw how marketing is in demand worldwide because I have classmates from different countries from Hong Kong to the Bahamas and from Seoul to
Nigeria ^^. - July: Unexpectedly, kahit first 2 months ko pa lang sa Marketing, my classmates elected me to become the president and the executive organizer of our events management (K0533),
- and leader of Business Research (FI0532), Retail Management (K0533), and appointed the asst. leader in these Marketing majors: Product Developent/MKT3 (K0524), Marketing Research (K0533), Salesmanhip (MKT2)
August: My Financial Accounting became a waterloo again on my part. My grade reached as low as 58%!!! this month is when I realize more the difference between Accountancy and Marketing in terms of difficulty.
- Dizzy numbers and numerous account titles vs. sleepless nights of thinking effective and feasible marketing plan?
- Cheap worksheets vs. specialty papers and quality colored inks for projects?
- Terror professors vs. distinguished panelists? and a whole lot more.
September: This month is wherein the class bonded closer and Started to know who’ll be my TRUESt friends in Marketing,
- and where I almost attained the ’superstar’ status (hehe!) and finally settle and commit to serve K0533.
- Championship on the first retail management competition all over 3rd year
was hailed on me. - I was hailed amongst the best 20 Junior marketing students (I never expected this, kashi-shift ko lang then ganito na!),
- A suprise letter from AJMA’s Ateneo Intercollegiate Marketing Seminar followed
October: Time passed by very fast and the my first semester as a marketer was about to realize.
- I, together with my groupmates, were hailed 2nd place in the Business Research Colloquium.
- I file a demand against Business Ethics "Prof." Anita dela Cruz. The Marketing and management community around me alarmed!
- My grades are evaluated and I almost reach the Deanslister Status at GWA of 1.53/1.00 (90-92%). I recieved 2 subjects 1.00/1.00. My first semester ended beyond my expectations.
Aside from my academics, I started to built great and solitude relationship with Ko533 was about to emerge.
- Flattering and heart warming Comments from great marketers such as Maam Karol Palparan, Joshua Ong, Sir Joey Tem, Arianne Solis, Maam Leslie Magadia made me feel and inspire on my marketing path.
- I passed and recieve the best of the remarks I’ve ever heard in Ateneo Intercollegiate Marketing Seminar. "You are very bubbly, inborn genius… I learned a lot from You… See you on AIMS… and I hope to see you soon. Congratulations!" -Mag Sy, an Atenean psychologist/ my interviewer in AIMS 2007. That was the best interview i ever had in my life!
November: I was trusted by my classmates in K0533 to choose each of their subjects to take for the 2nd semester. Enrollment went on agony on the first but eventually predominantly we maintained the K0533 community harmoniously.
- The 2nd semester started. I was appointed again as the class president of ESPEJO Section/K0533 (as Sir Dulay, PhD wants to call).
- Even though I’m just a neophyte to very strict and corporate Ma’am Magadia, I am receiving great flattering comments from her that made me more consistent to be amongst the best, not only in my section but throughout the FEU marketing community
Like my first semester as a marketer, I was appointed AGAIN by my groupmates to be the
leader in
- Website Development, Marketing Management, Special Topics in Marketing, Database…(Customer Relationship Management), World Literature, Advertising and Brand Management (6 out of 6 group based subjects I am leading)
December: Ateneo’s Intercollegiate Seminar was my first 2 days 
of this month in Ascott. This is where I met and collaborate with the best of Ateneo, UP and UA&P. I never ever expected this! The best part is that I worked with them very well and we’ve got the 2nd! After this, bigger and better opportunities came to me…. ^^.
- but…The 2 restless days in AIMS is the time when I decided to have a break and take concern with my health after the said seminar. So I rested for 2 weeks but my quizzes plus no assignments in ALL my subjects made me FAILED but after the REST is whereby I quickly RECOVERED on my Prelim Exam and back my grades REMAINED in the SUPERIOR level. I’m happy that I am the highest in Marketing Management and got perfect in my World literature exams.
- This is I felt I’ve reached my "Superstar" Status when I made justifications and reflections against Accounting Professor Emma Samonte. This is where the marketing community, including the professors reacted. but unexpectedly most of the comments I received, even from my professors, are great and I felt like an Asian Idol Hadi Mirza! hahaha!
A lot of parties and hangouts such as going with Ateyng Diane, Marketing Party in MAlate and With Classmates in Ortigas this month. But despite of those risky failures, I’m still happy and contented on what I did because
I learned to take risk to fail and it makes me feel free to do whatever I want and proves me that no matter how I rest, I can still recover. In case if I fail, at least this will be my way to learn from mistake and to improve more.
In deed my Life as a Marketer and a college student turned to be my most successful and controversial year! 2007 Neal Espejo was unleashed beyond his expectations from probably the IA’s most dumb accountancy student to the hailed among the best FEUture marketers mapa FEU man o ATENEO! ^^.
Sine now i’ve seem my better performance, I’ll give less focus on studies, more 
focused on my health and some of my relatives, and friends I haven’t spend for long. But I’ll still remain consistent with my grades, I really have to lie low for a while. I’m hoping to end up great in FEU and took up my masters in any of the top3
